Playzi was born at Le Métropole, our own bar in Jette. We wanted customers to shape the music without touching the bar's sound system. A QR code on each table, the customer suggests, the staff approves, the track goes to the speakers. The first version ran a full season on the floor, the second one was rewritten around everything it taught us.

The problem
In a bar, the music is usually stuck on a generic playlist that fits nobody. Customers ask the owner, who has to leave the register to change a track. Inefficient.
Existing jukebox solutions charge the customer (socially unbearable) and take full control over the bar music (risk of chaos).
The owner wants to keep editorial control without becoming a full-time DJ.
The approach
- 01Start from the real friction: customers want to shape the music, owners want to stay in charge.
- 02A zero-install experience, both for customers and owners. One QR code is enough.
- 03Keep the music integration invisible: the owner never touches a technical setting.
What we solved
Opening the music to the room without losing the vibe
That is the whole difficulty: let customers choose, and still be at home. The bar sets its playlists, its styles and its moments of the day, the room chooses inside that.
Adding nothing to the work of a service
A Friday night is no time to learn a tool. The request lands on the phone of whoever is on the floor, they accept or refuse, and go back to the counter.
Giving customers a reason to stay
Someone who picked a track waits to hear it. They see their place in the night and when it comes up. That is where dwell time is won.
Set it up once, then let it run
The styles and artists you do not want never come through, without refusing them one by one. Trusted spots and regulars go straight in without approval, each with their own link and their own rules. And every moment of the day switches to its playlist on its own.
