Playzi
Customers pick the music. The owner stays in control.
Playzi was born at Le Métropole, our own bar. We wanted customers to contribute to the music without touching the bar's Spotify. A QR code on each table, customers suggest, the owner approves, Spotify plays. Zero friction.
The problem
In a bar, the music is usually stuck on a generic playlist that fits nobody. Customers ask the owner, who has to leave the register to change a track. Inefficient.
Existing jukebox solutions charge the customer (socially unbearable) and take full control over the bar music (risk of chaos).
The owner wants to keep editorial control without becoming a full-time DJ.
The approach
- 01Start from the real friction: customers want to shape the music, owners want to stay in charge.
- 02A zero-install experience, both for customers and owners. One QR code is enough.
- 03Keep the music integration invisible: the owner never touches a technical setting.
What we solved
Smooth sync with the bar music
Approved tracks reach the play queue without any noticeable delay, without interruption.
A connection that never drops
The owner signs in once. Never again. No possible service interruption.
Controlled customer experience
The system keeps a coherent vibe even when dozens of customers suggest at the same time.
Results
- →3,200+ tracks played via Playzi at Le Métropole
- →40% increase in average customer dwell time (measured over 3 months)
- →Median response time < 1.2s between suggestion and playback
- →99.8% uptime over the last 6 months
- →Zero playback incidents over 6 months
